I am a very active person AND I stand a lot at my job. As part of my overall wellness regime, I have a standing desk so that I spend much of the day at work on my feet. I feel like this is great for my overall fitness, and it helps build foot and leg strength, but it can lead to tired or achy feet at times or just some general aches because my normal shoes do not have a ton of cushioning. I often wear athletic shoes at work, but I don’t tend to buy super cushioned ones. A great fix to address the issue is the use of Dr. Scholl’s® Custom Fit® Orthotic Inserts.
I visited a Dr. Scholl’s® Newly Designed Kiosk at Walmart which useds advanced Footmapping® technology to find the correct shoe insert for my work shoes to help minimize foot and leg discomfort. That way I can keep comfortably using my standing desk and keep up with all of my active outdoor activities.
About Dr. Scholl’s® Custom Fit® Orthotic Inserts
I have long trusted the Dr. Scholl’s® brand. I love all of their products and have used many Dr. Scholl’s® products over my years of running. So, I was excited to try the Dr. Scholl’s® Custom Fit® Orthotic Inserts for my work shoes, which was a new experience for me since I do not normally use orthotic inserts in my work shoes. Here is a little more about the orthotic inserts:
- Dr. Scholl’s® Custom Fit® Orthotic Inserts have 5-in-1 clinically proven pain relief. Meaning, it is the only product sold over the counter* that is clinically proven to relieve FIVE lower body pains caused by being on your feet: foot pain, back pain, knee pain, heel pain and plantar fasciitis as well as tired, achy feet and legs.
- If you suffer from lower body pain, than use the Dr. Scholl’s Kiosk because it’s fast, free, and easy. Dr. Scholl’s® Custom Fit® Orthotic Inserts provide immediate, all-day relief of pain from being on your feet.
Using the Dr. Scholl’s® Kiosk at Walmart
The kiosk is fun and easy to use. I located it in the pharmacy area of the store.
You begin by standing on the Kiosk platform in your socks.
Then, follow the instructions on the screen. It will ask you to stand evenly, then to grab the side bars and lean forward, which will move an icon on the screen into a bulls eye target. Once you center it, the kiosk will do some calculations and then have you repeat the action standing on your right foot and left foot separately. Basically those movements use the pressure sensors in the kiosk to create your footmap.
When you are finished, it uses your footmap to recommend a set of inserts.
In my case, it told me that I have high arches and low pressure and it recommended a specific set of Dr. Scholl’s® Custom Fit® Orthotic Inserts, which I purchased. Also offered was a $10 rebate. I do love a rebate!
Using my Dr. Scholl’s® Custom Fit® Orthotic Inserts
When I got home, I unpacked my inserts and slipped them into a pair of athletic shoes that I often wear to work. The inserts are clearly labeled right and left and come with clear instructions for inserting them. You do so right over your original shoe insoles.
They fit my shoes quite nicely. Since they are not full length, there is no need to trim them. I find them very comfortable. The additional cushion and arch support really make my feet feel great! Overall, they are great for standing all day at my desk so that I can stay active and fit without achy feet.
