Old fashioned glazed apple fritters with a powder sugar glaze. So yummy and decadent!

Ingredients
  • 1 quart vegetable oil (for deep frying)
  • 1½ cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ⅔ cup milk
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 3 cups apples - peeled, cored and chopped
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
  1. Heat the oil in a deep fryer, dutch oven, or deep skillet to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C)
  2. In a large bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt
  3. Pour in milk, eggs and oil and stir well
  4. Stir in the apples
  5. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the oil and fry until golden on both sides (approx. 5 minutes), working in small batches
  6. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  7. Toss with powdered sugar before cooling to form a glaze.
